Cross Valley Connector Opening Can Be Deceiving

Only one portion of the road set to open Monday.

Councilman Frank Ferry joked at last Tuesday’s Council meeting that he sees a lot of cars driving on the Cross Valley connector section of road between Bouquet Canyon towards Golden Valley.

The problem, he says, is that the particular piece of road in that area isn’t yet open.

ImageThe barricade that was blocking traffic entering from Bouquet Canyon road has been removed, but the road only leads to a dead end at the construction site.

Many people have began traveling that road thinking that it connects to Golden Valley at Soledad Canyon Road but, at least for now, that  is not the case.

So if you see the barricades down near Bouquet, resist the urge to take that road.

The other piece of the Connector, the one between Copper Hill and the I-5, will be open starting Monday April 23rd.

That piece of road is being completed 5 months ahead of schedule.
