Cyclists participating in Journey of Hope, presented by KRG Capital, will arrive in Santa Clarita on Sunday, June 20. Subway, located at 26888 The Old Road near Magic Mountain Parkway in Newhall, will serve as a rest stop in their 4,000 mile cross country cycling event to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.
Journey of Hope is a program of Push America, the national philanthropy of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity founded in 1977, which commits to helping enhance the lives of those who are disabled. The Journey of Hope team consists of men from the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity across the country.
Participating cyclists will begin their journey in Seattle on Wednesday, June 9 and San Francisco on Sunday June 13, and will end in Washington D.C. on Monday, June 14. The cyclists will ride an average of 75 miles per day, a total of 4,000 miles.
With nearly $13 million raised to date, Push America and the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity hope to raise approximately $500,000 on behalf of people with disabilities in this year’s Journey of Hope event.
