Local residents can look forward to saving money with online coupons from a new website greatamericandeals.com/santaclarita co-founded by “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak.

The website will allow locals to sign up with their email and will be sent coupons to local businesses and services. After every purchase a dollar will also be donated to a local school or nonprofit organization of your choice. Locals can also add a school or organization that is not already listed.

KHTS radio interviewed Sajak on his involvement in this new idea of couponing. He related our hometown station of Santa Clarita to this online couponing as the “hometown site for these deals.”Coupons for local residents are useful because they “cultivate business”, are “hyper-local” and introduce the “giveback program.” Sajak became involved in this because a friend was intrigued by the idea of couponing. He says it is, “a way to help a lot of folks, a win-win to me.”

With advertising popping up all over the Internet, this became a way for Sajak to use that idea to bring the community together with couponing. To sign up is free, personal information is protected, and there are no marketing spams sent to customers email.

Chad Shamrock, owner of the Santa Clarita location, has been working with merchants, charities and customers for the past year. “Our sole purpose is to create syngergy in our community”, he said. 

The local residents can save money, local businesses can flourish, and non-profit organizations can also progress with a supporting community. The goal of Great American Deals is to encourage interaction between customers and businesses.

There is no group deal needed and every deal will have an expiration date. Most payments are accepted ranging from major credit cards, bank authorized and Paypal accounts.

Customers can also enjoy immediate redemptions and will not have to wait to receive their deal.
