The California Democratic Party is convening Assembly District Meetings (ADEM) to select delegates in each of the state’s 80 Assembly Districts this Saturday and Sunday. Local Democrats who were involved in the 2010 campaign are invited to help select delegates at 2 p.m. Saturday at a meeting in Spurling Hall at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church
“These elections allow all Democrats to make their voices heard”, said Michael Cruz, President of the Democratic Club of the Santa Clarita Valley, “It allows all Democrats to run to be a delegate and have their voices heard by our state leadership. I would encourage everyone to arrive early and meet all of the candidates who are running to represent you!”

Eighty Assembly Districts will elect 12 people (six women and six men) to be members of the Democratic State Central Committee. These 12 people will each represent their respective Assembly District for both the 2011 and 2012 State Conventions.
Some of the local candidates who are running for the 38th Assembly District delegate seat are: SherryAn Lima, Jeanie Larson-Kaufmann, Margot Webb, Sharon Y. Garrett, Patti Sulpizio and Barbara B. Wilson (incumbent). Steve Brooks, Jon Spalding, Alan Cameron, Isaac Lieberman, Bob Levine, and Michael Jonas.
