Deputies Arrest Suspect In Gas-Siphoning Attack

Joseph Carlos Beltran was arrested by deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station Wednesday night.

Beltran is due to appear in court this week over allegations involving a Sept. 5 assault case.

Beltran is accused of stealing gas by siphoning it from a vehicle on the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road near Sierra Highway. When the victim confronted the alleged suspect about why he was siphoning gas, the suspect allegedly used a writing pen in an attempt to stab the victim.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were seeking public assistance in locating Beltran, a 22 year-old male from the Castaic area.
