Deputies Asking For Community Help With Purse-Snatching Suspect

NEWS RELEASE

Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are seeking the public assistance in identifying a male who allegedly stole a women’s purse. 

On November 25th, 2012 at approximately 8:10 p.m. the male pictured here allegedly stole the victim’s purse. The 49 year-old female victim reported that while she was inside the Carl’s Jr restaurant, located at 20425 Newhall Avenue, she left her purse hanging on a chair at her table.

She left the location and realized she had left her purse on the chair. When she returned, she discovered her purse was gone. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’09”, 180-200 pounds. He was unshaven with brown hair and a receding hairline. Video surveillance captured a man leaving the location holding the purse.

The man left the location in an older model white Honda or Toyota vehicle with a missing left rear passenger side hubcap.
