Deputies Compile Stolen Vehicle Data

For almost a year now, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, in an effort to prevent auto thefts, as well as aid in the recovery of stolen vehicles, has been compiling data detailing auto theft trends throughout the valley.

This "Stolen Vehicle Hot Sheet" is distributed to SCV patrol deputies, as well as the countywide auto theft unit, T.R.A.P. (Taskforce for Regional Autotheft Prevention).  The infomation gathered shows the SCV’s most desired vehicles by auto thieves are, in first place, the Toyota Camry, followed by the Honda Accord, & the Ford Focus.
