Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are investigating a door-kick burglary that occurred Monday afternoon in the 17500 block of Polar Point Lane in Canyon Country. Deputies responded to the location after a resident called and said someone had kicked open her front door while she was home and entered her residence.
The resident heard someone repeatedly knocking on her front door. When she looked outside she saw a female black, 18-20 years old, wearing a black coat. The resident assumed the person was selling something and did not answer the door. The knocking continued for several minutes. Moments later someone manipulated the door handle and the door was suddenly kicked open by a male black, 30-35 years old, wearing a black hoodie-style sweatshirt.
