Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to reports of an armed robbery just after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Commuter Way and Soledad Canyon Road.

Three suspects robbed an individual at gunpoint and then fled eastbound in a gray Chrysler.

Cash and a cell phone were taken.

Sgt. Brian Allen said that deputies have detained three individuals in a similar vehicle at Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon Road.

“Deputies are trying to ascertain whether or not they are the suspects,” he said.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males.
