Sheriff’s homicide detectives are wrapping up at the scene of an officer-involved shooting in the Parklane Mobile Home Park on Soledad Canyon Road near Rainbow Glen.
According to sheriff’s officials, deputies were called to the scene of a domestic dispute at that location around 3 a.m. Neighbors had reported hearing a couple arguing loudly.
After repeated requests for a man suspected of being involved in the dispute to put up his hands were ignored, the man approached deputies and one shot was fired, striking him once in the abdomen.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment; his injuries are not life-threatening.
No deputies were injured during the incident.
A team of investigators are examining this incident; whenever a shooting occurs involving Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies, homicide detectives handle the primary investigation, but additional information is also obtained by the Sheriff’s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Los Angeles Office of Independent Review, which issues a report to the Sheriff’s Executive Force Review Committee.
