A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered minor injuries after his patrol vehicle struck a guardrail at the Hasley Canyon onramp to the southbound Interstate 5 just before noon.

The deputy, who works out of the Castaic office of the Sheriff’s Parks bureau, was taken from the scene by ambulance. The patrol car was towed from the location with moderate damage.

The California Highway Partrol says the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
