Desalination Treatment Could Cost Santa Clarita Millions

The Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District and the City are actively reducing salt discharged into the Santa Clara River but a Regional Water Board decision may force unnecessary construction of desalination treatment, costing residents and businesses $350 million.

Spend a few minutes Monday to hear about and respond to this environmental issue that could cost you $400 a year.   Representatives from the Sanitation District and City will be at Valencia Crossroads from 7-9 a.m. or from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at KHTS’ Valencia Town Center kiosk.

It’s your rate, your water, and your valley: make your voice heard.
