One dead, one injured after shooting at party.

[view:node_ad=5]Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man and wounding of another man that occurred in the 28700 block of Lincoln Avenue, Val Verde Park, on March 9, 2008, at about 12:13 a.m.

Detectives report that the victims were attending a birthday party, when a fight broke out in front of the location.  The suspect, described as a Hispanic male adult, produced a handgun and shot the two men.

The victims were transported to a local hospital where one of the victims was pronounced dead.  The second victim is in stable condition.  The motive for the shooting is unknown.
