Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Burglary and Theft team are reaching out in an attempt to locate the rightful owners of jewelry and other property taken during residential burglaries in the Saugus and Valencia areas.
The property was recovered by detectives after the September 22 arrest of burglary suspects Patricia Arevalo and Ryan Clapham, as well as subsequent search warrant operations.
Detectives have already contacted many of the victims whose homes were burglarized between May and September 2009, but much of the property is still unclaimed. Every effort is being made to return the property to its rightful owners and to that end, detectives have compiled a photo book of the property.
Any resident in the areas outlined on the map below who has filed a burglary report with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station between May and September 2009 can bring their report number and description of the item to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, now through the end of October. After verification they will be allowed to look through the book of property for their missing item(s).
