Dial A Ride Now Open To General Public

Curb-to-Curb Service Can Ease Evening Travels.

While the elderly and disabled are already regular riders of the City of Santa Clarita Transit’s Dial-A-Ride bus, the general public can also take advantage of the curb-to-curb service for their transportation needs.

Dial-A-Ride service is available to the general public after 6:00 p.m., seven days a week.

There are no eligibility requirements; however, riders must register to utilize the service.  To register for Dial-A-Ride service call 661-294-9327 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The Dial-A-Ride one way fare is $2.00 per person.  Reservations are not prioritized and are on a first come basis. A rider can schedule a trip for any transportation purpose. Reservations can be used to visit friends, go to a movie, or last minute errands. Drop off and pickup is available.

“This is a great service for anyone in the community who needs door-to-door service later in the evening,” said Transit Manager Jeff O’Keefe.  “Whether you need to work late or you need to do something social, Dial-A-Ride can provide the transportation.”

Dial-A-Ride general public service is available between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. Rides can be reserved one to seven days in advance. City of Santa Clarita Transit is unable to provide same day trip requests.
