Providence Saint Joseph Neuroscience Institute Initiative Underway
Dick Clark, world -renowned entertainment icon, and his wife Kari will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs for Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s $11 million initiative to create a state-of-the-art neuroscience facility. The treatment of stroke will be a cornerstone of the new Providence Saint Joseph Neuroscience Institute. It will be the only facility of its kind in the San Fernando Valley and one of only two in Los Angeles County.

Providence Saint Joseph currently treats almost 1,500 neurologically impaired inpatients annually. Approximately 550 are stroke victims like Mr. Clark.
“Both of us were very happy that Dick was at Saint Joseph and not another hospital for his care,” said Kari. “It is very personal there … in today’s busy world you rarely experience the level of compassion and kindness that was given to us during Dick’s rehabilitation. All the doctors, the therapists and the nursing staff were absolutely outstanding.”
