This Wednesday, April 17 at noon will be your last chance to buy specially discounted tickets to the 36th annual Santa Clarita Dodger Day salute and help Santa Clarita Valley nonprofit organizations that get a portion of the proceeds.
Tickets are on sale now at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center and online at www.scvdodgerday.com for the April 27 game, when the Los Angeles Dodgers welcome the Milwaukee Brewers for a bit of baseball brou-haha starting at 6:10 p.m.

“For the first time on a Santa Clarita Dodger Day, the Dodgers are giving out a Dodgers sports bag to the first 40,000 fans that show up at the stadium, which is a great premium,” said Pat Downing, Arts & Entertainment supervisor for the city of Santa Clarita and coordinator of the event.
“It’s also an opportunity to donate a portion of your ticket to your favorite local nonprofit.” Downing said.
The Dodgers and the city established Santa Clarita Dodger Day in 1978. Co-sponsors include the Hart Baseball & Softball program and AM 1220 KHTS, the Dodgers’ exclusive radio affiliate in the Santa Clarita Valley.
SCV residents who purchase tickets at the Aquatic Center or www.scvdodgerday.com also avoid paying the usual service charge per ticket.
Mayor’s First Pitch, Youth Parade
“You’ll get a chance to see our Mayor Bob Kellar throw out the first pitch to our City Manager Ken Striplin,” he said. “And for large groups who buy tickets, they can be part of the Youth Parade. You’d need to have 25 people in your group buy tickets so those kids can walk out onto the center field warning track before the game.”
The Dodgers-Brewers game is expected to sell out. After noon April 17, if tickets are still available, fans would have to purchase them directly from the Dodgers at the standard prices and fees, “which are a lot more,” Downing said.
