Districts Wrap Up Teaching In Final Weeks Of Scho

No matter what the temperature reading says, it just isn’t officially summer until local students are out of school.

After a long school year, the time for summer break is fast approaching for all schools in our valley.

High school graduations are taking place this week and June 1-5, although the actual end of the school year for all educational establishments varies by district.

 

Here is a list of all districts’ last day of school for 2009:

Newhall Elementary School District – Friday, June 12 (minimum day);

Sulphur Springs School District – Friday, June 12 (minimum day);

Saugus Union School District – Friday, June 5 (minimum day);

Castaic Union School District – Thursday, June 11 (shortened day);

William S. Hart School District – Thursday, June 4;

College of the Canyons – Thursday, June 4.

Graduation Schedule

May 28 – Valencia High School – At COC Stadium

May 29 – West Ranch High School – At COC Stadium 

June 1 – Golden Valley High School – At COC Stadium

June 2 – Canyon High School – At COC Stadium

June 3

  • Arroyo Seco Jr. High – At COC Gymnasium
  • La Mesa Jr. High – At La Mesa
  • Saugus High School – At COC Stadium
  • Learning Post – In Hart High Auditorim

June 4

  • Placerita Jr. High- COC Gymnasium
  • Rancho Pico Jr. High – In Rancho Pico MPR
  • Rio Norte Jr. High – At Valencia High
  • Sierra Vista Jr. High- At La Mesa
  • Hart High School – At COC Stadium
  • Bowman High School – At Bowman
  • Sequoia – In Sports Complex
