Districts Wrap Up Teaching In Final Weeks Of School Year

Most schools in Santa Clarita are just days away from summer break.

 

No matter what the temperature reading says, it just isn’t officially summer until local students are out of school.

After a long school year, the time for summer break is fast approaching for all schools in our valley.

High school graduations are taking place this week and June 1-5, although the actual end of the school year for all educational establishments varies by district.

Here is a list of all districts’ last day of school for 2009:

Newhall Elementary School District – Friday, June 12 (minimum day);

Sulphur Springs School District – Friday, June 12 (minimum day);

Saugus Union School District – Friday, June 5 (minimum day);

Castaic Union School District – Thursday, June 11 (shortened day);

William S. Hart School District – Thursday, June 4;

College of the Canyons – Thursday, June 4.

June 2 – Canyon High School
