Domestic Violence Center To Host Golf Tournament

800px-Golfball_copy_copy_copyOn Monday, July 19, the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley will host its annual charity golf tournament at the Valencia Country Club.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Captain Paul Becker will serve honorary chair of the event, which is set to kick-off with breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start.

“The golf tournament encompasses two very important elements.” Said Captain Becker. “First, it will give us the opportunity to use fun and relaxed setting to address the very serious issue and effects of domestic violence, as well as let people know that the Domestic Violence Center is here to help. Secondly, the Center will be able to raise much needed funds to continue its programs and services to aid domestic violence victims and their families here in Santa Clarita.”All golfers will receive 18 holes of golf and a commemorative gift bag. The day also includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments on course, as well as an after tournament, no host bar, complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and a prize raffle.
