Parole violator and probationers arrested for drugs, counterfiet currency.
Deputies arrested four individuals on drug related charges Tuesday after conducting an early morning traffic stop near 2nd Street and Arch Street in Newhall.
The deputies report that during the traffic stop they determined that three individuals they contacted were on probation and one was on felony parole. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, counterfeit U.S. Currency, a significant amount of cash and items commonly used in the sale and distribution of narcotics.
All four suspects, a 28-year old male white from Valley Center, a 25-year old female white from Saugus, a 25-year old male white from Newhall and a 42-year old male white from Newhall were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
They each face potential felony charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Three are being held in lieu of $15,000 bail and one later posted bond and was released pending future court proceedings. The suspects names have not yet been released pending additional investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Narcotics Bureau – Santa Clarita Division.
