Arrests for drunk driving not more or less than last holidays.
The CHP reports that arrests for driving under the influence
stayed within the average for a four-day Labor Day enforcement period.
Thirty-two arrests were made in the period that started
Friday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. and ended
at midnight Monday, Sept. 1, according
to Officer John Lutz. There were no fatalities reported over the holiday.
Lutz said that the last several four-day enforcement periods
have averaged between 30 and 32 arrests for DUI.
