Earle Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Girlfriend

khts_crimeEric Earle, the boyfriend of Karla Barda, who was found dead in her bed Thursday morning, has been arrested and booked on suspicion of her murder, according to Lt. Eduardo Hernandez of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.

 

 

Earle was transferred from custody at the Santa Clarita Valley station Thursday afternoon, where he was taken after deputies arrived at the couple’s Plum Canyon condominium. Deputies said he was distraught and he was taken to the station for questioning. He was taken down to the Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Homicide detectives arrived at the condo around 11 a.m. Thursday; according to Hernandez, additional information obtained during their investigation led them to recommend Earle’s arrest.

Hernandez added that additional information was gathered Thursday night.

Earle is being held in lieu of $1 million bail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

He was already scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday related to his arrest for domestic violence charges on August 5. He spent two days in custody before posting bond.
