Brady John Wood, 20, of Saugus, was arrested Monday, at 7:45 p.m. for an alleged “date rape scenario,” said Brian Hudson of the Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Unit.

A COC spokesman confirmed Wood was enrolled to be a student in the fall 2017, and that he’d been previously enrolled.

The alleged rape took place at Wood’s home between June 6-7, according to an arrest warrant filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Aug. 18. The incident has been under investigation since the beginning of June, according to Special Victims investigators. Officials declined to give the address of the alleged attack.

Information from the arrest warrant indicated the charge was rape by use of drugs or intoxicants, with an allegation the suspect administered Ambien, according to a District Attorney’s Office spokesman.

A COC Cougar football recruit, Azhon Davis, 18, of Lancaster, was arrested several hours earlier on Monday, at approximately 8:55 a.m., according to law enforcement officials. His arrest records list him as 6-feet, 5-inches tall and 310 pounds, and the college is also mentioned on a Hudl recruiting page, although COC officials confirmed Tuesday he is no longer enrolled as a student.

Davis is accused of sexually assaulting a COC student on campus on the morning of August 2, around 10:45 a.m.

The following was released regarding the Davis accusation, from college officials, because it was alleged to have happened on campus.
