“The college is so proud of these students and they always do a wonderful job”, said Bruce Fortine, who’s the vice president on the board of trustees for College of the Canyons. “Going up against these prestigious four year universities and performing-it’s really something.”
FBLA Phi Beta Lambda is an international organization of college students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.
College of the Canyons students competed in eight events and received medals in each event.
“I think the results demonstrate what we all know, COC students are able to excel at all levels of scholastic achievement,” Fortine said.
The students placed high enough in seven out of the eight events to qualify to compete at the National FBLA-PBL Conference in Chicago in June.
Below is a list of the events that the students competed in and what place they received. The schools marked with an asterisk qualified for the National Conference this summer.
