College of the Canyons (COC) sent an email to all students Friday, warning the campus community of a student taking “upskirt” pictures and an incident involving an organization accused of human trafficking.

One of the safety incidents involves the shooting of “upskirt” videos of female students at the Valencia Campus and posting them online, said the email to students.
The videos were shot from behind as students walked up different stairways around the campus. We have notified the SCV Sheriff’s Station and they have the videos, according to campus officials.
The second incident involved a student on the Canyon Country Campus who was approached in Quad 4 this week around 6:30 p.m. by two women who asked her to go with them to review Bible verses about “God the Mother,” according to campus officials.
The women followed the student and continued trying to talk to her even after she declined the offer.
The two women are described as well-dressed, approximately middle-aged, and heavy-set. One was Caucasian and the other African-American.
“God the Mother” has been in question for sex trafficking accusations at various universities across the country as the rumors spread through social media, according to various reports.
To date, all of these accusations have been debunked by their local police departments, according to officials.
