For parents of preschoolers, kindergarten will be here before you know it. The Newhall School District is holding registration in March for kindergarten and transitional kindergarten students.
The spring semester is well underway and the Newhall School District is already encouraging parents to start thinking about next school year, especially if they have a child ready to enter kindergarten or transitional kindergarten.

Registration for the 2014-2015 school year is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at all Newhall District school sites except Meadows Elementary School, which will hold registration on Friday, March 14.
Any children turning 5 years old between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2 of 2014 will be enrolled in transitional kindergarten, while children turning 5 on or before Sept. 1 will be enrolled in kindergarten.
Transitional kindergarten is a two-year program with modified curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.
Enrollment packets for either kindergarten or transitional kindergarten can be picked up at any Newhall District school starting Monday, Feb. 10.
The packets include all necessary forms and provide health requirements, birth certificate information and residency requirements for registration.
