Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a teen taking pictures and “hanging out” near Valencia Valley Tuesday morning.

The LASD received phone calls from concerned parents about a juvenile that was recently seen hanging out near an elementary school on Carrizo Dr in Valencia Tuesday, said Shirley Miller, a spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies were made aware of the situation by school administration,” said Miller. “An investigation was conducted and deputies identified the juvie, made contact with him, and determined that there was nothing of criminal nature that occurred.”
To alleviate and address any parents’ concerns, there will be an increased deputy presence on campus today, Miller said.
No arrests were made and the campus remains safe, according to Sheriff’s officials.
