The Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation is holding its Last Sip of Summer fundraiser 3 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Ranch, officials said Wednesday.

The Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation is raising funds for their Read With Me! literacy program, which provides Santa Clarita Valley students with literary instruction, and for teacher grants, which aid instructors with the price of teaching materials.
“We work together with the many facets of our community to bridge the gap and fill the cracks that have been created by lack of state and national funding of our local public schools,” according to the Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation website. “We are a community coming together for a common goal: to provide outstanding public schools for the children of the Santa Clarita Valley.”
The Read With Me! literacy campaign is multifaceted campaign and provides students with extra reading help from through a variety of different approaches.
The school volunteer program connects volunteers from College of the Canyons, the Senior Center and other community organizations with struggling elementary school students to provide help during school hours, whereas the Santa Clarita Valley Libraries’ after school and summer programs encourage literacy outside of class, according to the site.
The Bag of Books Campaign loans donated books to students who do not otherwise have access to books.

The fundraiser will feature a variety of wines and beer from Wolf Creek, snacks, a putting competition, a silent auction and a raffle, according to foundation officials.
Prizes for the putting competition, the auction and the raffle include Disneyland Park Hopper Passes, a weekend stay at the beach, tickets to see the NBC show “The Voice” and golfing packages.
The musical group Johnnie B. & the Good Times is scheduled to perform at the event.
Admission to the foundation is $60 and entrance to the putting competition is an additional $10.
