The junior high students were first introduced to Golden Valley; what its whole goal is for student achievement and what it has to offer to ensure that the every student who sets foot on campus is successful.

The main premise of Black and Gold Day was not only to have these incoming students gain understanding of their future school, but to also take a glance at the extracurricular activities the school has for them.

Then, theater performed a segment from their upcoming play, “SHREK: The Musical,” showing off all their hard work, as well as inspiring students who potentially have an interest in theater or other performing arts.

To contribute to these prospective performing arts students, choir also featured some performances. During fourth period of GV’s school day, junior high students went out into the amphitheater to “tour” the different clubs and sports teams, as well as some potential future classes for freshmen, such as AP Environmental Science and ROP classes (for future reference), as well as The Grizzness (Journalism class).

The future students of Golden Valley got a basic understanding of what they want to do in high school and how they will potentially go about their high school experience.

They saw everything Golden Valley has to offer and realized that there is something for everyone to do and enjoy.
