Reynolds has participated in the business and volunteer community in the Santa Clarita Valley for 10 years, as a senior partner at NewMarket Careers in Valencia, which offers professional career counseling.
Her resume includes former positions at the Illinois Department of Corrections, and in corporate marketing communications, executive speechwriting, corporate training and career coaching.
As a leader in the local business community, Reynolds has also held positions with the SCV Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industry Association, working to develop career curriculum for the VIA Education Committee’s Connect 2 Success program.
“I am so excited to be part of the Hart District to assist in providing students with real-life work experiences,” Reynolds said in a press release. “Our programs will help them be better prepared for the modern workforce with appropriate skills, as well as professionalism. These early opportunities often have long-lasting career impact.”
The Hart District Career Center offers a variety of career training and exploration opportunities, from classes to job shadow programs.
Career education includes the following fields: animal care, automotive services, child care, cosmetology, culinary arts, health care, interior design, plumbing, photography and broadcast journalism.
The Regional Occupation Program provides much of this education through classes and on-job training.
Reynolds is currently looking for other business owners and managers who are willing to partner with the Hart District to provide training for students.
