The Governing Board for the William S Hart Union High School District praised the academics of the school. However, a history of poor financial record-keeping and the liability of the school’s debt put the district at risk, officials said.
School officials for Einstein Academy are planning an emergency meeting this evening, according to Maggie Ford, CEO for Einstein Academy.
The district had asked Einstein officials to change its charter management structure, which previously had sought to open charter schools outside of the district with district funds.
AEA officials have been working with the district and said they had no plans to expand, however, changing the charter structure might not be possible because of the bond securing the building is in the name of the corporation that would have to be dissolved in order to create a new charter petition, according to school officials.
