Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded in eight different career pathways based on interviews students gave to a panel of Santa Clarita business leaders on April 16. The business leaders also chose the artwork from a field of eight pieces to represent the recognition event.
“Celebrating the ROP Outstanding Students provides all of us with the opportunity to see what students are able to accomplish through Career Education courses that allow them to explore their talents, find relevance in school, and establish post-secondary educational goals,” said Dr. Mariane Doyle, Career Technical Education Administrator.
The evening began with the 1st Annual Ted Rafalovich Professionalism Award given to the students who wrote an essay based on the topic, “How do I make an effort to stand out, network, and focus on creative ideas to develop my professionalism skills to be noticed in the business world?” The winners were Nelson Ho, Sarah Park and Riana Rose Richards.
