For the 18th year, hundreds of families from across the Santa Clarita Valley have been invited to enjoy a free holiday meal and winter wonderland, complete with giveaways, on Friday.
“It’s a great opportunity for the students, families who want to participate, staff that participates, to learn what it means during the holiday season to give back to those that may be less fortunate,” said Dave Caldwell, spokesman for the Hart School District.

The school’s gym is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland, where Santa is expected to give every child a toy and every teen a gift card, according to district officials.
In addition, Hart High School staff and students are planning to distribute blankets to participating families.
“This is something that students, staff, parents all do together,” Caldwell said. “It’s just grown into this great big event that kind of puts a bow tie on the end of the first semester at Hart High School.”
