Emergency Responders Free Horse Trapped On Pedestrian Bridge (w/ video)

Rescuers freed a horse Saturday after its feet got caught under the railing of a pedestrian bridge at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center.

The incident was reported at about 5:15 p.m. and Animal Control officials were called out for a rescue operation.

A veterinarian sedated the animal while other emergency responders cut the wood railing to free its legs.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel uprighted the horse and trailered it to its stable.
