With clear skies, bright sun, a high temperature near 97, northeast breezes from 5-10 mph, and nighttime temps in the mid-60s, today and Friday are great days for the beach, where temps will be about 10 degrees cooler.

Residents get a bit of a break from the heat over the weekend, as highs are expected to be 86 on Saturday and 83 on Sunday, but Monday’s high will rise again to 90.
The combination of offshore winds, hot temperatures and lowering humidy will heightens the concerns about fires, but not enough to warrant a red flag alert, according to the service.
