County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation officials recently provided new trails for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley along with the release of a new website about the trails.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich recognized the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Internal Services along with several other organizations who helped build the county’s new trail website, according to a Los Angeles County news release.
The website will provide hikers, bikers, horseback riders and others with information on the county’s over 367 miles of trails including live weather conditions, hiking difficulty and parking locations. For more information, visit trails.lacounty.gov.
The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation officials contributed new recreational opportunities for more than 20 million visitors each year who enjoy our local, community and regional parks, lakes, golf courses, gardens, cultural and entertainment venues including the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre and the world famous Hollywood Bowl. Many of these trails are located in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The city of Santa Clarita also has a site called Hike Santa Clarita Open Space.
Open Space is another website for all things hiking and open space in Santa Clarita. Residents are encouraged to check out the website and try new trails to hike or bike at.
The site includes a clickable map that will show each of the open space areas along with trail information.
Local hiking clubs and other outdoor enthusiasts also include information on group activities and local events.
