The project provides rebates to assist property owners in making energy efficient home upgrades.
Community members can learn more about the program by attending a free informational workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25 at the Santa Clarita Activities Center, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
The workshop, hosted by The Energy Network, will inform Santa Clarita residents on the benefits of upgrading their homes to be more energy efficient, and offer information about available rebates and financing to help make upgrading easier.
The meeting will include basic building science, such as the steps to take before adding solar to a home, and information about how homes use and lose energy. Complimentary refreshments and prizes will be offered.
Attendees may RSVP for the workshop at the website.
An additional workshop will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 at the Old Town Newhall Library, located at 24500 Main Street.
The Energy Network is administered by Los Angeles County and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
