Santa Clarita Valley residents have a way to contact the city of Santa Clarita in the case of malfunctioning sprinklers.

“There are a few ways that residents can get a hold of the city to report a problem,” said Gail Morgan, City of Santa Clarita Public Information Officer. “First they can log onto (the city’s website) . Then look at the drop down menu titled Santa Clarita 24/7 and from there they can fill out a form and the city will respond.”
Another way to report a problem is to download the free Santa Clarita app which is free from the app store. After downloading the app, users can take a photo of the sprinkler and the city will use GPS to find it and fix it.
Residents can also call the city’s 24 hour hotline at 661-286-4050.
If the broken sprinkler is located in a region that is not within city limits, residents are encouraged to call the Los Angeles Department of Public Works.
“The Department of Public Works serves as a “one-stop” for reports of that kind,” said Andre Herndon, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation Public Information Officer. ” There a dispatch can either take a report on the issue or refer a caller to the appropriate party.”
