Stay Green Inc. received first place awards for large commercial maintenance of the promenade at the Town Center in Santa Clarita and for a public works install for T-3 Valencia Hills in Santa Clarita.

The organization received an additional three first place awards for homeowners association maintenance and commercial maintenance in Palmdale, Burbank and Beverly Hills.

“When my father started this company, his top priority was excellent service, and that has never

changed,” Stay Green CEO Chris Angelo said. “These awards are a reminder that we continue to hit the mark in going above and beyond for our clients.”

The 44-year-old landscaping firm also received three Outstanding Achievement awards: Large Commercial Maintenance, for the Summit CC Owners Association in Santa Clarita; Large HOA Maintenance for the Sienna Villas in Santa Clarita; and Small HOA Maintenance for the Treana HOA in the Santa Clarita Valley’s Stevenson Ranch community.

The quality of Stay Green’s work clearly stood out among the award entries, said Nelson Colvin, a member of the CLCA San Fernando Valley chapter’s board.

“They lead by doing. They think excellence, they study excellence and they produce excellence,” he said. “If founder Richard Angelo is visiting a property and sees a weed, he will pull it and put it in the trash. That kind of leadership is what makes a good company.”

The CLCA is a nonprofit trade organization of landscape contractors.

The association’s members include landscape contractors and public officials.
