ETI To Hold Multiple Sclerosis Benefit Ride On Sunday

horsesontrailsETI National Jr. Ambassadors and ETI Sanctioned Trail Trials are holding a Team/MAU Competition on Sunday, March 11.

The entry booth opens at 8:15 a.m.; first rider out at 9 a.m., last rider out at 11 a.m.

The ride will be held at Vasquez Rocks Natural Park, 10700 West Escondido Canyon Road in Agua Dulce.

One-half of the ride’s proceeds will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Entry fees are $30 for ETI members, $35 for non-members. Those sending in their nonrefundable pre-entry fee, postmarked by March 7 will receive lunch as part of their entry; food (prepared by The Queen’s Kitchen) will be available for purchase at the park.

Poker hands will be available for $5 per hand, $1 for an extra card. Poker winnings – first place gets 35 percent of the pot, second place gets 15 percent of the pot.

Teams-4 Member or 4 Member MAU Teams; $5 each team member. Team with lowest combined score wins total pot.

First place prizes will be awarded in Open, Novice and Junior categories (juniors are age 14 and under as of Jan. 1, 2012). There will be a special award to the first-time trail rider with the lowest score. Ribbons will be given to 10th place.

All judging will be done on natural trails with judges stationed on the trail to evaluate how horse and rider handle trail conditions. Any saddle and bridle used on the trail are acceptable.
