Participants can relax with their families while enjoying the summer sun

                       

The City of Santa Clarita is proud to announce its Family Camp Event scheduled July 7, 8 and 9 at Lake Cachuma, located in beautiful Santa Barbara. An annual event for the city, families will be given the opportunity to meet other families from Santa Clarita. Crafts, games, and campfires will be planned and participants can relax with their families while enjoying the summer sun. A potluck dinner on Saturday will highlight this memorable family weekend.

 

“Every year, our annual Family Camp Event is a success,” said Kelli Miller, Recreation Supervisor. “The best thing about Family Camp is that it unites Santa Clarita families.” Lake Cachuma offers a Family Fun Center, which includes video games, miniature golf, bike rentals and a snack bar. Also available at Lake Cachuma is a 2.5 mile hiking trail, boat rentals, wildlife cruises and a grocery store. Swimming in the lake is not permitted, however two swimming pools are available at the Family Fun Center. Tents and trailers are welcome (no hook-ups available). The fee for the event is $155 for a family of up to six, which includes a camping spot for one vehicle, daily activities, arts, crafts and games. In addition, each family member will receive a t-shirt for participating in the City’s Family Camp Event.
