Wood ‘N Tole
Wood ‘N Tole is a collection of beautiful and eye catching woodwork that is both designed and created by Jim McGuire. He is extremely talented, putting his interest and passion together when he is doing his woodwork, and he turns a piece of wood into a piece of art. The amazing woodwork can be used as home decor or just as a beautiful memento for you. You can see his masterpieces being awarded and appreciated all over the Santa Clarita Valley. Whether it is a celebrity portrait, nature scene, welcome sign or jewelry, he can do it all, and turn them all into beautiful works of art.
McGuire’s carving career began when he started carving with a saw that he had bought at a fair and ever since then he has just continued to improve and innovate his skills. The most intricate and difficult design that he has produced was a work entitled “Big Cats”, it took almost one thousand cuts to produce and create his design. He is proficient in a variety of wood types, from natural wood to plywoods to eucalyptus, he can work with them all.
His skills are unmatchable, he enjoys creating designs that are unique the satisfy the vision of each individual customer. Even if he is only using a scroll saw, he can make extremely complex carvings that show expansive detail in every single art piece. His most famous piece is called “First Fathers” and it depicts a stunning scene of the faces of Mount Rushmore towering over the Native American Chiefs.
Jim and his wife Arlene show off and sell his lovely wood creations at several craft fairs around Southern California with their company Wood ‘N Tole.
