Santa Clarita residents are invited to participate in affordable activities provided by the Canyon County Community Center officials.

Registration is still available for the swing dance event, modern dance classes and a beach excursion to Ventura Harbor.
Local adults can wear their best dapper duds and dancing shoes for an evening at the Big Band Dance at the Canyon Country Community Center.
Attendees will be able to jump and jive while listening to the music of the big band era on Tuesday, July 15, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Admission is free with membership to the Canyon Country Community Center.

Children ages six to 12 can get moving this summer with “Jazz Funk,” an up-tempo cardio dance class combining jazz and hip hop with funky choreography and a welcoming atmosphere. All dance class attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear closed toe shoes. The fee is $5 per class.
Santa Clarita residents can beat the summer heat with an excursion to Ventura Harbor Village on Saturday, August 2. For just $10 per person, enjoy coastal breezes with a day spent at Ventura’s Harbor Cove Beach, or dining and shopping at the Ventura Harbor Village.

This excursion will depart the Community Center at 8:30 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. Registration will be accepted now through July 30. Space is limited.
