“As a Blue Star Mom with a son currently serving as a corporal in the U.S. Marines and working alongside veterans, this fundraising event is near and dear to me,” said Yesenia Berbiar, an administrative assistant for Cardinal Health.
Cardinal Health Care, a Fortune 500 company with offices in Valencia, handles cost reduction, efficiency and profitability for pharmacies, hospitals and clinics, according to its website.
“We’re veteran-driven, and we have several people that are veterans working for us” Berbiar said regarding the inspiration for the company’s fundraiser.
The company will match all donations raised at the car wash for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mentorship and health care to veterans and servicemembers who endured mental or physical injury during or after 9/11, according to its website.

“This means a whole lot to me because my son is coming home from Afghanistan next year, and I don’t know whether he’s going to need this program when he gets back,” Berbiar said.
