City Concert Series Ends Summer Run

The City of Santa Clarita’s 16th Annual Concerts in the Park series comes to a conclusion Saturday August 27, with a performance by The Spazmatics. This hilarious “science-nerd” group will play the best of the 80s pop and new-wave music.

The final concert in this year’s series of tribute bands, The Spazmatics concert will begin at 7:00 pm at Central Park. As always, hundred of families are expected to come out early to enjoy a picnic dinner on a warm summer night. Concessions are also available at the park.

Everyone is invited to attend this free, family-friendly concert, which will feature hits by Oingo Boingo, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, and many more 80s favorites!

“We are so excited to be bringing this year’s concert series to a close with such an energetic band,” says Phil Lantis, Arts and Events Administrator for the City. “This year we have featured all cover-bands and thousands of people have come out to hear the familiar tunes. The Spazmatics will cap off a successful summer of family entertainment”

Central Park is located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road. Parking spaces at the park are limited and the concert series is a popular event, so residents are encouraged to arrive early. A reminder, videotaping is not permitted at the concerts.
