City Looking for Poll Workers

The City of Santa Clarita is currently seeking civic-minded individuals to serve as precinct workers on election day, Tuesday, April 11, 2006.
Polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm and workers are asked to arrive a half an hour early on election day and may need to stay as late as 9:00 p.m. Pay for an inspector is $75 and for a Clerk is $55. An additional $25 will be paid to precinct workers who attend a training session to be held at City Hall during the afternoon on March 27, 2006.

No previous experience is necessary. Precinct Workers must be US citizens and registered voters within Los Angeles County.
The City is especially seeking Spanish speaking precinct workers to assist voters with possible questions. Workers will be assigned to poll locations by the City and notified of their assigned location by phone as well as by mail.
Interested parties should contact the City Clerk’s office for a precinct worker form.
Applications are being taken through February 24, 2006.
