Comedians featured on HBO, NBC, CBS, Showtime and other outlets are expected to lend their comedic talents to the SCV Youth Project, and entertain attendees. All proceeds will benefit the SCV Youth Project, an organization dedicated to helping teenagers in their everyday struggles.

The SCV Youth Project is an innovative, school-linked, nonprofit organization assisting teens 12-18 years old with issues they face on a daily basis, such as depression, suicide and substance abuse.

Their mission is to provide a safe space where teenagers and their families can learn the tools they need to live successful and healthy lives, further strengthening the bonds they share.

Ticket prices for Comics for the Cause vary from $40-$55 and can be purchased on the SCV Youth Project’s website. There is a $35 add-on for VIP tickets, giving attendees access to the VIP party.

The show will begin at 6 p.m. for VIP members and 7:30 p.m. for the general admission crowd.

This year’s line-up features Taylor Tomlinson, who has been featured on the “Tonight Show” and on her own special on Netflix; Jon Reep, winner of season five of “Last Comic Standing”; and Jesus Trejo, who can be seen on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden and as a recurring cast member on TBS’s sitcom “SULLIVAN & SON” as Javier.

The complete lineup is set to be revealed soon by event officials.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, located at College of the Canyons at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.
