The Academy of the Canyons, in association with Project Linus, will be hosting “Make a Blanket Day” Oct. 7 in a community effort to knit blankets to distribute to families who currently live in shelters.

Community Car Seat Event Held At Audi Valencia

The Audi Valencia car dealership is hosting community Car Seat Event on Aug. 6, demonstrating how to properly install your car seat.

The Car Seat Event will be located at Audi Valencia, 23923 Creekside Road, and will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Appointments are needed in order to properly educate the public on how to install or adjust car seats.

California Highway Patrol Newhall will have four car-seat technicians at the event who have additional training regarding the installment, adjustment, removal and moving of car seats.

Each appointment will last 30 minutes each, depending on the amount of car seats in each group/family. If two car seats are presented, the appointment will then be for an hour.

CHP Newhall also offers car seat safety appointments every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
