The second annual Golden Years Expo and Senior Health Fair is set to return to the Hyatt Regency Valencia Hotel on Feb. 7, 2015, event officials announced Saturday.

The free community expo connects residents with organizations and businesses who offer important information and resources to seniors, those caring for seniors and those preparing for their senior years.

Last year’s grand prize winner of the CA Super Lotto Quick Pick Plays, Jenell Watkins, of Newhall.

“Attendance at last year’s Golden Years Expo and Senior Health Fair greatly exceeded our expectations,” said Gary Buterbaugh, the expo’s producer. “We are working hard to make February’s expo and health fair even more informative and feature more resource choices.”

The event features more than a dozen free health screenings, presentations by experts on senior-related topics and more than 60 exhibitors ready to share information, opportunities, products and services.

Attendees will also have the chance to win raffle prizes, receive freebies and take advantage of special offers.

“A special drawing will offer more than 20 prizes worth at least $50, and one lucky guest will win a grand prize of up to 500 Super Lotto Plus Quick Pick Plays for the California lottery,” Buterbaugh said. “Special drawing bonus coupons begin appearing in January in all of our community advertising, on our website and on our posters.”

This year’s event is presented by UCLA Health and co-sponsors Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Santa Clarita Valley YMCA, KHTS AM-1220 and more.
